ENDOMETRIOSIS - Dr. Jack Ayoub - 1/24/2008
Jack P. Ayoub, M.D., an obstetrician and gynecologist joined Bayside Health Association August, 2007. Dr. Ayoub recently graduated from residency at George Washington University Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He attended Georgetown University and Creighton University School of Medicine. Dr Ayoub was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area, visiting Lewes to spend time with his relatives. A strong sense of community and a great place to raise a family, combined with joining a highly regarded practice with a wonderful group of physicians and staff solidified Dr. Ayoub's decision to start his practice at Bayside Health Association. - Laparoscopic Hysterectomy - 8/28/2006
As Lewes resident Tomie Davis prepared herself for her hysterectomy, her apprehension mounted. It was the beginning of Novemer, and her friends warned her that the surgery would ruin her Thanksgiving. But the pain and blood loss she was suffering meant that postponing the surgery was not a viable option; and besides, Dr. Steven Berlin, Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beebe Medical Center, and member of the Bayside Health Association medical practice in Lewes, had explained to her that he would perform the latest procedure available - the lapraoscopic supercervical hysterectomy (LSH).
