The friendly and courteous providers and staff at Bayside Health Association understand that different people look for different things in their healthcare providers.  Our diverse staff of allied health professionals and physicians have various levels of experience, training and special interests.  A provider to suit each individual's needs.  

 

Vincent B. Killeen, MD, FACOG

Vincent B. Killeen, MD, FACOG

A native of Worcester, Massachusetts, Vincent Killeen attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC graduating in 1981. He pursued his internship and obstetrical and gynecological residency at Georgetown as well with completion of his training in 1985. He and his wife Debbie then moved from the DC area to Lewes, Delaware where Dr. Killeen accepted a position practicing obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Killeen opened his own practice, Bayside Health Association, in 1988 and completed his board certification from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989 recertifying in 1997. Since completion of his education Dr. Killeen has had several articles published in national clinical magazines and has been very active in the Lewes community. In 1999, he received his board certification from the American Board of Managed Care Medicine. In addition, he has received additional, specialized training in ob/gyn ultrasound as required to obtain and maintain Bayside Health’s ultrasound accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Killeen enjoys spending time with his wife Debbie and their three daughters, is an avid women’s lacrosse fan and supporter and has interests in golf, racquet sports and Civil War Medicine. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Killeen sees patients in the Lewes and Georgetown offices and has privileges at Beebe Medical Center.

 

Newell Washburn, MD - Retired

Newell Washburn, MD

A native of Delaware, Newell Washburn attended the University of Michigan Medical School graduating in 1971. He pursued his internship and his first year of residency at the University of Miami in Florida. Upon completion of his first year of residency, Dr. Washburn took a three-year hiatus at which time he worked for an obstetrician/gynecologist and then for a lawyer. You see, most people don’t realize that Dr. Washburn also has a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and that, during this three-year hiatus, he was trying to determine which profession he was going to pursue, medicine or law. Obviously, he chose medicine and returned to Delaware to complete his residency at the Wilmington Medical Center, completing his training in 1979. He then worked in private practice for 9 years prior to joining Bayside Health as a physician and partner in 1988. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Washburn enjoys spending time with his wife Hilda and their four children, reading and horseback riding. Dr. Washburn sees patients in the Lewes and Georgetown offices and has privileges at Beebe Medical Center.

 

Steven D. Berlin, MD

Steven D. Berlin, MD

A native of Long Island, New York, Steven Berlin attended Chicago Medical School in Illinois graduating in 1983. He pursued his internship and obstetrical and gynecological residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago with completion of his training in 1988. He practiced medicine in Florida and Virginia before finding his way to Lewes, Delaware in 1994 with his wife Leisa and their four children. Dr. Berlin is currently the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beebe Medical Center, Medical Director of the Integrative Health Department and Physician Member to the Center’s Board of Directors. He has received additional, specialized training in ob/gyn ultrasound as required to obtain and maintain Bayside Health’s ultrasound accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. In addition, Dr. Berlin has a strong interest in integrative medicine and natural or herbal therapies. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Berlin enjoys spending time with his family and Scuba Diving. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Berlin sees patients in the Lewes and Georgetown offices and has privileges at Beebe Medical Center.

 

Leo H. Eschbach, Jr., DO, FACOOG

Leo H. Eschbach, Jr., DO, FACOOG

A native of Philadelphia, Leo Eschbach attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania graduating in 1995. He pursued his internship and obstetrical and gynecological residency training through the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine at various hospitals in the Philadelphia area completing his training in 2000. Prior to joining Bayside Health and moving to Lewes in the summer of 2001, Dr. Eschbach was a physician for a private practice in Woodstock, Maryland. In May 2003, Dr. Eschbach received his board certification from the American Board of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Eschbach see patients in the Lewes and Georgetown offices and has privileges at Beebe Medical Center.

 

Sara (Sally) W. Ruby, CNM, MSN

Sara (Sally) W. Ruby, CNM, MSN

A native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Sally Ruby received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University in 1971. After working as a registered nurse for many years, Sally decided to further her career by going back to school and completing her nurse midwifery training at the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky in 1997. She obtained her certification from the American College of Nurse Midwives in 1998. She accepted a midwifery position in Salisbury, Maryland that same year and also began pursuing her Masters of Nursing in Midwifery at Philadelphia University graduating in 1999. Sally joined Bayside Health in November of 2003. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with husband Doug, her children and grandchildren. She also enjoys traveling and needlepoint. Sally sees patients in the Lewes and Georgetown offices and has privileges at Beebe Medical Center.

 

Ann Marie Stafford, CNM, MSN

Ann Marie Stafford, CNM, MSN

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Ann Marie Stafford received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester in New York in 1986. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse at local Ohio hospital while pursuing her Master’s level studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Ann Marie completed her Master’s degree with a focus in Midwifery Practice in 1990 and obtained her certification from the American College of Nurse Midwives that same year. She then accepted a midwifery position in Salisbury, Maryland where she practiced for five years and met her future husband, Jeff. Ann Marie moved to Delaware in 1996 when she accepted a position with Bayside Health. When she is not working, Ann Marie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, visiting with friends and enjoying the beach community. Ann Marie sees patients in the Lewes and Georgetown and offices and has privileges at Beebe Medical Center.

 

Carrie S. Keane, CNM, MSN

Carrie S. Keane, CNM, MSN

A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Carrie received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maryland at College Park. After working at a pregnancy aid center in Maryland, Carrie decided to go back to school to become a midwife. She enrolled in a program at Yale University School of Nursing that allowed her to obtain her Nursing degree and a Masters of Nursing concentrating in Midwifery and graduating in May 2004. She obtained her certification from the American College of Nurse Midwives that same year. Carrie and her husband Jimmy then moved to Delaware where she accepted a position with Bayside Health. When Carrie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and……Carrie sees patients in the Lewes and Georgetown offices and has privileges at Beebe Medical CenterM.

 

Mary Ann C. Gaskin, MA, CCC-A

Mary Ann C. Gaskin, MA, CCC-A

A native of Pennsylvania, Mary Ann received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Pennsylvania State University in May 1980. She served as a speech and language therapist for a local school district in Delaware prior to moving back to Pennsylvania to further her education. Mary Ann completed her Masters degree in Audiology from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1987. She then returned to Delaware to work for a local otolaryngologist. She continued with this practice until, she joined Bayside Health in September 1995. Mary Ann obtained her board certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) in 1988. Licensed as an Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser, Mary Ann offers full service hearing screenings including OAE testing and hearing aid sales and service. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Craig and their two boys in addition to shopping and going to the beach. Mary Ann sees patients at the Lewes location.

 

Karen Wilkinson, RTR, RDMS, RDCS

Karen Wilkinson, RTR, RDMS, RDCS

A native of Iowa, Karen Wilkinson attended the University of Iowa where she received her certificate as radiology technician in 1984. She obtained her certification as a Registered Radiology Technician from the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians that same year. She then continued her studies at the University of Iowa, graduating in 1986 with her certificate as an ultrasound technician. She received her certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers that same year. Karen worked as a sonographer for three years in Idaho prior to moving to Delaware with her husband Jerry in 1989. She accepted a full-time ultrasonographer position with Bayside Health in 1996, having worked part-time for Bayside for three-years. Karen specializes in obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound and is also certified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer. She performs pediatric echocardiograms at Bayside Health two days a month in conjunction with a pediatric cardiologist from Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. When not working, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband Jerry and their two boys, is an avid local sports fan and supporter and enjoys scrapbooking. Karen sees patients in the Lewes office.

 

Julie Greenly, RDMS

Julie Greenly, RDMS

A native of Delaware, Julie Greenly attended Delaware Technical and Community College in Stanton where she received her Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine graduating in 1978. She obtained her certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technician that same year. She received her certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in 1991 while working at a local hospital. Julie worked in the hospital setting for 22 years prior to joining Bayside Health in 2001. When Julie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Steve and their two children and going camping and fishing. Julie sees patients in the Georgetown office.

 

Nancy J. Gillette, RDMS

Nancy J. Gillette, RDMS

Nancy was born and raised in Northern Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania. She then attended New York University where she received her Certificate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 1994. Later that same year she received her certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Nancy moved to Lewes in 2002 and accepted a full-time ultrasonographer position with Bayside Health in June 2006. Nancy specializes in obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound and also performs 3D/4D scans. When not working, Nancy enjoys spending time at the beach, reading a good book, cross country skiing, traveling, gourmet dining and spending time with her family and friends. Nancy sees patients in the Lewes office.
